Labyrinth for Labor & Birth

A labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. It combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a meandering but purposeful path.

The Labyrinth represents a journey to our own centre and back again out into the world. Labyrinths have long been used as meditation and prayer tools.

The labyrinth is not like a maze, there are no dead ends or wrong turns. It has a set path to reach a centre and the same path leads you out.

In the Labyrinth for Labor & Birth, we will trace the journey reflecting the emotional, spiritual, and social experience of labor and giving birth.

The finger or colour tracing through the Labyrinth helps to look beyond the preparedness and set towards the journey of the unknown, labor and birth. The centre is the baby and the journey out is your own rebirth as a mother/parents.
